This position is focused on the delivery of OneCall Manager Services to our customers. The Technical Analyst has daily responsibilities to generate OneCall Ticket Packages within the service level agreements. The Technical Analyst assists the OneCall Client Service Manager in ensuring outstanding customer service, accurate data and a proactive approach to problem solving by being the main liaison between the client, their designated locators and the One-Call organizations.


As a Technical Analyst, attention to deal is critical to your success. The Technical Analyst will be conscientious and thorough and will persist in resolving issues satisfactory for customers. The following skills will be needed to deliver the variety of work:

  • Detail orientated and enjoys trouble shooting
  • Operationally focused
  • Enjoys repetitive work – daily tickets, monthly updates and set up of new clients
  • Works well in a structured environment with defined expectations and outcomes
  • Tech savvy
  • Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office suite of products
  • Minimum 5 years customer service experience
  • Minimum 2 year post secondary education (oil and gas focused an asset)
  • Preference will be given to those with GIS, locating and/or call center experience


The Technical Analyst will deliver responsibilities to the following key customers:

  • OneCall Manager Subscribers – energy producers who have outsourced administration of their pipeline one call location to Critical Control Energy Services.
  • Alberta One-Call, BC One-Call and Saskatchewan One-Call – provincial organizations that distribute ground disturbance ticket
  • Designated locators

The job responsibilities are outlined below, but other areas of responsibility may be added as required.  Specifically, the Technical Analyst will:

  1. Ticket Management
    • Receive one call tickets (requests to dig) from One-Call organizations on a daily basis on behalf of clients
    • From each ticket, identify the client and their District/Field
    • Screen each ticket by researching the clients’ pipeline data
    • Identify the clients’ pipelines on a map
    • Prepare a ticket package – cover sheet, ticket text and map(s) for each ticket received
    • Distribute ticket packages to all stakeholders involved (Client – Head Office and District; and designated locate company) by fax and/or email
    • Receive and print delivery and read notifications for watch tickets
    • Check daily and monthly audits from one call organizations to ensure that all tickets issued were received and processed in a timely manner
    • Ensure that all necessary client contact information is kept current
  1. Monthly Data Updates
    • Receive monthly pipeline activity and change reports for clients from pipeline group
    • Ensure that changes in the client data is transmitted to One-Call organizations so that clients assets chosen method of registration (LLD spreadsheet or shape file)
    • Review updated files from One-Call organizations
    • Sign off on verification of data
    • Maintain all records of data updates and verification
    • Provide copies
