We're looking for a Regional Sales Manager, Western Canada to join their team! Reporting to the Toronto based Director of National Sales, the Regional Sales Manager, Western Canada will be based out of the corporate office in Calgary. The successful candidate will be a self motivated, dynamic sales professional required to implement aggressive sales activities and manage key accounts & territories to contribute to the success of over 100 Travelodge properties. 


  • Minimum 3 years sales experience with an aggressive sales mentality
  • Hotel experience preferred
  • Proven successes in general sales e.g. oil & gas and leisure with a solid corporate background
  • Must have previous experience using CRM systems such as Salesforce
  • Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office applications such as Outlook, Word and Excel
  • Ability to think outside the box
  • Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as within a team environment
  • Have own vehicle, valid driver’s license and able to travel


  • Responsible for day-to-day duties of prospecting accounts including cold calling and outbound sales, new business development and account retention
  • Develop a thorough understanding of the market conditions and business including competitive activity, prospective customers, and market trends
  • Initiate sales calls in local and assigned territories and demonstrate excellent closing skills
  • Organize and participate in sales blitzes/missions/mail shots/trades shows and promotional activities
  • Completion of correspondence and client contracts
  • Maintain an effective trace system
  • Prepare reports on sales results and activities
  • Responsible for reviewing and understanding sales reports and key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Input information into the National Sales database
  • Participate in regional meetings and national conferences as required
