Mobile Data Technologies (MDT) is seeking an experienced Sales Manager to oversee sales activities for Canadian, US and international operations. Reporting to the President, the successful candidate will be responsible for developing sales strategies and managing detailed sales plans for the sales team to meet and exceed the company’s revenue plan.


Desired Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or relevant discipline; equivalent work experience will be considered
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in a sales or operational role, with demonstrated success
  • Minimum 5 years of leadership experience and managing a sales team
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to analyze a customer’s business and determine products and/or services to meet their needs
  • Previous experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and Enterprise Resource Planning systems (ERP)
  • Previous experience with Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • A valid driver’s license is required
  • Must have a valid passport for international travel (mainly North America)


Day-to-Day Responsibilities Include:

  • Develop, implement and monitor sales strategies to align with annual revenue plan
  • Work with sales team to develop, implement and achieve individual sales objectives
  • Hire, retain and manage sales team members
  • Provide coaching and training for new and junior team members
  • Conduct regular sales meetings and track follow-up activities
  • Forecast revenue on a monthly basis and provide expected revenue reports to management team
  • Prepare and manage sales cost budget
  • Provide monthly sales KPI reports to management team, including open quotes, active orders, as well as monthly and quarterly sales vs. targets
  • Ensure a good understanding of products and service, and develop presentations to provide overview of products
  • Conduct business reviews and customer value presentations
  • Attend and represent the company at various trade shows
