Overview

The Calgary Chamber is looking for a Membership Services Intern to begin May 1, 2018 to support the Membership Services Team.

 

For over 125 years the Calgary Chamber of Commerce has been working every day to make Calgary a better place to live, work and grow a business. This is a rare opportunity to be part of that important work.

Qualifications

  • Completed your first year of post-secondary school and be enrolled to attend in September 1, 2018 (Please note: This is a STEP program and this is a condition of the grant)
  • Solid administrative skills with demonstrated organizational skills
  • Demonstrates regular use of Microsoft Office 365;
  • Accept nothing but excellence every day;

Responsibilities

As a support for the Membership Services team, the Membership Services Intern will complete the following:

Administration

  • Process new membership applications
  • Ensure that the delivery of member welcome email, member certificates and decal and invite to the member welcome reception are fulfilled
  • Manage the membership inbox and respond to inquiries within 24 hours
  • Update CRM with any member changes
  • Ensure database is updated with correct information and missing data fields
  • Print reports and lists as required
  • Coordinate the renewal process with accounting to deliver invoices and follow up reminders
  • Ensure all marketing materials for sales are current and in stock
  • Member mailouts as necessary

Events support

  • Assist with RSVP, name tags, and general set up of member welcome reception and open houses
  • Assign profiles in the database to registrations received
