Outside Sales Representative

As we continue to grow and evolve across Canada, we are looking for a new Outside Sales Representative for our Calgary location (but a willingness to travel at least 50% of the time is required).


We look for people who understand that relationships drive everything we do. We truly believe in being proactive in our approach to customer service, stay true to our word and more importantly we cultivate a team that delivers time and time again.


  • At least 10 years of proven success in selling by building and maintaining strong customer relationships
  • Previous experience as a First Responder or in Military is a definite asset
  • Require working knowledge of purchase order contracts, requests for quote, requests for information, and other similar formal documentation used in government procurement process.
  • Require ability to keep on top of e-mails and customer inquiries while on the road
  • Highly organized and able to prioritize but tasks without letting smaller projects slip through the cracks
  • Experience in financial modelling and analysis is considered an asset
  • Must be proficient with Word, Excel, E-mail
  • Experience with inventory management software & Salesforce is also a plus


  • Building, maintaining, and expanding relationships with agency customers
  • Matching customer requirements with available product offerings from 911 Supply
  • Identifying quarterly goals and taking steps to achieve short term and long term goals, alongside daily duties
  • General customer service on new and existing product requirements from agency customers. Helping liaison between customer and in-house staff to facilitate returns, warranty claims, product issues, etc.
  • Customer visits both in-store and at their location (police department, warehouse & procurement facility, etc.)
  • Attendance at industry trade shows which includes booth set up, meeting with customers, dinners & meetings after show, etc.
  • Keeping up to date on product knowledge, industry trends, and other news & information relevant to being able to best service our customers
