  • Overview

    Canbriam’s success has and will continue to be dependent upon our talented and collaborative workforce. We are currently looking for an experienced, motivated, creative and entrepreneurial individual to fill a Facilities Engineer (12 month contract) position. This position will report to the Manager, Facilities and Integrity and will be located in Calgary, Canada.



    • Degree in engineering
    • Typically 10 years or more of related industry experience facility design and project management
    • Proof and maintenance of a valid Class 5 Alberta Driver’s License, or equivalent, is required
    • Experience in field supervision & management of construction personnel is also an asset


    As a Facilities Engineer for Canbriam, you will work closely with the Operations and Production team to provide engineering support for our pipelines and well site facilities. Project goals will focus on safety, process, schedules, budget and quality control. You will have demonstrated field experience and be able to report on activities and objectives to a number of company teams.


    You will travel to field locations on a regular basis to work closely with Operations, Production and Construction personnel. You will be responsible for the planning, cost, design, construction and safe execution of each project until turnover to Operations.


    Job Dimensions

    • Oversee multifaceted facilities projects
    • Actively participate in gathering the information required fir engineering scoping and design
    • Define deliverables (cost, schedule, quality and safety) from the design and construction team and drive them to project completion
    • Enhance productivity by efficiently managing construction resources and schedules while ensuring adherence to development goals and equipment specifications standards
    • Promote innovation within facility projects by working closely with the Operations Production and Integrity Engineering staff to ensure the most appropriate technologies and designs are used
    • Be knowledgeable and work according to all applicable guidelines, directives and regulations to enhance project success
