    NEXTCompression_FINALNEXT Compression Corp, a young, dynamic company providing industry leading design and fabrication of natural gas compression, refrigeration and power generation packages has an opening for a Materials Handler / Shipper to join the team. Reporting to the Production Manager, the successful candidate will support both the Service and Manufacturing departments and be responsible to inspect, unload, receive and ship parts, materials and components, as well as maintain inventory control and records.


    • 2-3 years previous experience in warehouse/inventory systems, parts data bases, shipping/ receiving best industry practices, forklift materials handling, etc.
    • Experience with shipping logistics (international experience considered an asset).
    • Good working knowledge of MTR documentation & material tracking & storage.
    • Working knowledge of SAP, Microsoft Office applications such as Outlook, Word, and Excel.
    • Trained in WHMIS, TDG, forklift operation, PPE & other applicable safety training
    • Ability to work well in a team environment with other office & trades employees
    • Demonstrates strong values, honesty, integrity, respect & being trustworthy


    • Inspect, unload, receive and ship parts, materials as well as components as per NEXT process flows.
    • Responsible as a Quality Control (QC) checkpoint for all received service and manufacturing parts & materials, notifying Service or Manufacturing Purchaser regarding any incorrect or damaged parts and materials.
    • Review received materials with purchase orders, packing slips & manufacturer material test reports MTR’s for accuracy and compliance with standard specifications such as SME and ASTM.
    • Create SAP goods receipts for all items received daily, code freight invoices and ensure recovery of freight.
    • Utilize a “Hold” & “Reject” shelf, ensuring proper tagging for any damaged or incorrect items. Assist QC in initiating a non-conformance report (NCR) for non-conformance materials.
    • Responsible for returning parts to vendors, providing a Returned Goods Authorization (RGA) with all returns.
    • Maintain daily cleanliness, orderliness and safety of the warehouse and yard.
    • Sort and stock parts orders and major components in an efficient manner.
    • Inspect forklift equipment daily, notifying Supervisor of any concerns or required repairs
    • Assist in the annual inventory and monthly cycle counts for Service and Manufacturing departments.
    • Support continuous improvement initiatives and seeks ways to improve process workflows to reduce costs.
    • Ensure safety standards are followed, including personal protection equipment (PPE) is worn at all times in required areas.
    • Promote safety awareness and identify job hazards.
