    Our client, Jayman BUILT is looking to change the way they approach Human Resources and add a People & Culture Manager to the team.

     

    The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work alongside the leadership team of Jayman BUILT to create a creative, conscious, connected & streamlined approach to the people initiatives that are shaping the culture of the organization.

     

    It's no secret the construction industry is hurting right now - and Jayman has not been immune. As such, we're looking for someone with a strong work ethic who is going to looking to prove themselves.  You're someone who is bold enough to come up with new ideas yet still respect the history of the organizaton, creative enough to work within tight budgets and someone who recognizes that no task is beneath them. 

    Qualifications

    What you need to bring to the table:

     

    • Experience: 3 – 5 years in a progressive Human Resources Generalist or People & Culture Role, ready to take on their first leadership challenge. Experience in construction industry is preferred.
    • Education: obtained or working towards University degree and/or diploma. Completion of the CHPR is considered and asset.
    • Skills and Attributes:
      • The ability to lead constructive, and sometimes difficult, team conversations
      • Passion for personal growth and loves to take on challenges
      • Knowledge of ADP Payroll Software
      • Full cycle recruiting experience
      • Full cycle employment understanding, from hiring and orientation to termination
      • Ability to read, interpret and implement on changing Employment legislation
    • Desire: You may not have had all the experience running a team - but you want to show that you can. You want to demonstrate that you are willing to put in the work in the right environment. Getting your hands dirty to show what it is you can do is second nature to you! 

    Responsibilities

    A Day in the Life:

     

    • Oversee all aspects of People & Culture, including payroll, employee onboarding and offboarding, performance management, recruitment, benefits, compensation and engagement for a team of 300+ employees
    • Work closely with the Elevated HR team to ensure best practices and project deliverables are implemented and executed on, staying on the leading edge of HR developments across the construction industry
    • Working closely with the Jayman BUILT leadership team as a trusted advisor on morale, engagement and people programs, specifically supporting the President
    • Challenge the status quo to generate top-tier people programs, regularly communicating to the entire team
    • Coach, mentor and support the Payroll Advisor and People & Culture Administrator.
